Welcome
Lil’ Bealsy Tee-Up for Down Syndrome was started by Brian and Mary Beale in 1999 in honor of their son, Colin, born December 19, 1998. The primary objective of this organization is to bring the community together to raise awareness of Down Syndrome, and how much these individuals have to offer society. The 10th Annual Lil’ Bealsy Tee-Up for Down Syndrome is scheduled for August 15, 2008 at Paxon Hollow Country Club. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS

It is with generous support from corporations and individuals alike, that Lil’ Bealsy Tee-Up for Down Syndrome, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, has raised over $140,000 over the past nine(9) years. All proceeds have been donated to organizations that promote the well-being of individuals with special needs, including Francis Harvey Green School, Special Olympics, Easter Seals, The Cardinal Krol Center, The Davidson School and the Delaware County Down Syndrome Interest Group, and the Trisomy 21 Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Thank you in advance for your participation in the 10th Annual Lil’ Bealsy Tee-Up for Down Syndrome.

People with Down Syndrome are first and foremost human beings who have recognizable physical characteristics and limited intellectual endowment which are due to the presence of an extra chromosome 21. The estimated incidence of Down Syndrome is between 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 1,100 live births. Each year approximately 3,000 to 5,000 children are born with this chromosome disorder. It is believed there are about 250,000 families in the United States who are affected by Down Syndrome.
